I thought the luminaries around the lake tonight were very pretty! I would love to see this done more often. We really enjoyed the boats going around cheering at them, although the dogs thought this was a good reason to bark. haha My family have been coming to this lake for over 20 years now, and I can say that in the last 5 years it has become its own little "neighborhood". I think it is wonderful the way the association is pulling together and becoming friends with the neighbors, I hope this trend continues.

What a great time we had at the pork pull Fund Raiser. It was great to get together with neighbors and others that love this lake as we do. This has been my home since 1991 and every ride around the lake it seems like the first time, there is always something to look at different. Our grandkids and all the neices and nephews always want to come to our house to swim. We enjoy each visit .

Congratulations on a great turn out for the 4th of July Flotilla. We may have set a new record for the number of participating water craft. The weather cooperated and It looked like a good time was had by all.

My parents bought the family cottage in 1976. I've enjoyed 32 years of coming up to the lake. I can remember when the lake was so thick with watermilfoil weeds that you almost could not row a boat across the lake. I also remember the weed cutting barge that the association purchased to cut the weeds. It was not the most efficient way to treat the weed problem, but out of despiration we used it until it was burned to the waterline by someone that was probably tired of raking dead weeds out of their waterfront. I hope that we continue to control the weed problem with the chemical treatments. The lake is in pretty good shape now, but we need to remember what it could be like if we don't keep on top ot the situation.
