Welcome to the home page of Atwood Lake, one of the most relaxing lakes in the Indian Lakes chain! Located in Johnson Township in Lagrange county Indiana, Atwood lake covers 170 acres with a maximum depth of 33 feet. Primarily a shallow lake, Atwood lake is ideal for fishing, swimming and recreational watercraft. Atwood has a public access site located on the south west corner of the lake on county road 745 South and private campground located on county road 800 south. The lake bottom is composed of clay, gravel, marl and muck. The lake has many types of fish, but the best fishing are for bluegill, redear, large mouth bass and black crappie. The posted speed limit is 10 miles per hour.
